About me
I’m feeling obliged to fill in this space. Isn’t that what we do? Fill in spaces. Not to get metaphysical and all.
I’m a freelance writer living in Denver, Colo.
“Writer of what?” you’re asking.
I’m a pretty good writer of technical manuals… software instruction, product release notes. Like that.
I’ve written a few articles on fitness for an online publication that most people don’t know. I’ve done some Web copy work for a ubiquitous company that makes computer how-to DVDs. I write mediocre fiction bad fiction, but I’m trying to change that.
And together with my friend Michael, I’m launching I’ve launched I shuttered a copywriting business here in Denver. Need marketing collateral or know anyone who does? Lemme know at rob at elephinocreative dot com.
Other stuff worth mentioning …
I’m 39 years old which means that my 20th high school reunion is this summer happened summer of 2006. Crap.
I have an amazing wife. I find her remarkable and I can’t figure out why she married me. She finds me weird and shutters when she remembers that she married me.
I’ve got a big, dumb dog… a 5-year-old lab named Sophie. John Grogan’s book tricks me into feeling that I have the world’s best dog.
I’ve got two old cats: one that can’t get enough to eat, shits everywhere and weighs eight pounds thanks to Irritable Bowel Syndrome; and another that can’t get enough to eat, pees everywhere and weighs 20 pounds thanks to diabetes. (Admit it. You’re jealous.)
Every day I see the Rocky Mountains from the 38th floor of my office building. I turn away from my computer and there they are. It’s spectacular.
(Some people have wondered… No, I’m not this Rob Siders. Nor am I this one.)
