I got some free stuff yesterday

Looks like you're new here. Get all the fun of 52 Novels as it happens and subscribe by e-mail or subscribe using your favorite RSS feed reader. Might as well. Don't cost nothin.

I’ve mentioned before that I belong to the word-of-mouth marketing thing called BzzAgent. I’m also participating in the books version that’s tied in to Penguin Books.

The Penguin BzzChannel has been running a program for Seth Godin’s new book, Small Is the New Big and 193 Other Riffs, Rants, and Remarkable Business Ideas, as if Godin actually needs the help to promote a little WoM.

This particular program is placing tear sheet excerpts of the book on the site for BzzAgents to download and pass along to colleagues and so forth. Once that’s done, log in to the site and give a write up on what happened.

I did and didn’t think much of it until yesterday: On my porch when I got home from work, wrapped inside a shipping envelope, was a copy of the book, fresh and unopened, awaiting my eyes.

Free stuff is good. I’ll be posting stuff about the book once I get a little further along. More buzz for the man who perfected it.

While we’re talking about free stuff, two things popped into my shiny bald head:

1. What’s the best thing you ever got for free?
2. If you want some free stuff for yourself, visit Totally Free Crap. Tchotchkes galore!

Subscribe…

G’head. Don’t cost nothin.
